Meet owner/instructor Paul Hughes…

Paul Hughes with pistol

I spent 12 years in the United States Marine Corps achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. During the twelve years, I served in several roles. I spent a few years working on the M1A1 tanks and then a few years on recruiter duty. When my recruiter tour ended, I decided to try-out for Marine Reconnaissance and became a Recon Marine. I had the pleasure to serve with some of the finest men and women during two tours in Iraq, and I was awarded the Navy Marine Corps Commendation Medal with combat “V” for my contributions. I came home alive from my tours in Iraq because of the outstanding instructors and instruction  I received while serving in the Marines.

One of my standing mantras is “Training Cures All Ills.” I believe with proper training and hard work anything is possible.  When I left the Marines, I found a unique opportunity on a Special Response Team program and am fortunate enough to be a member of the instructor staff because of my  23 years of experience.

Training is my passion, and my focus is providing accessible, high quality firearm instruction to the everyday responsible citizen who wants to learn the basic skills of marksmanship. I provide private instruction on my private ranges where students only need to show up. There is no requirement for students to bring their own firearms. We strive to make it easy for you to learn in the best environment possible.
